Phalguna · United Kingdom
India's finest handloom traditions, unveiled in the heart of London.
Phalguna made its London debut at an exclusive exhibition celebrating the living craft traditions of India. Guests experienced an intimate showcase of GI-tagged handloom sarees — each piece a conversation between centuries-old technique and the hands that still practice it today.
From the gossamer weaves of Chanderi to the gold-zari grandeur of Banarasi silk, the exhibition brought together some of the rarest textiles produced by master weavers across India's most celebrated clusters.
The response from London's diaspora community and textile enthusiasts was overwhelming — a reminder that the world is ready to value Indian handloom not as ethnic wear, but as the high craft it has always been.

The exhibition showcased a rich spread of India's GI-tagged handloom and craft traditions: Sanganeri hand block print from Rajasthan, Bagru print, Gujarat appliqué, Warli art from Maharashtra, Eri Silk from Assam, and handloom weaves from across India's most celebrated clusters.
Russian visitors engaged closely with the textiles — examining the craftsmanship, understanding the GI provenance, and discovering the depth of India's living craft heritage. The response confirmed a genuine appetite for authentic Indian handloom on an international stage.
